As a sign of our commitment to society, SegurCaixa Adeslas strives to ensure that the contents of its web page are accessible to everybody, avoiding, as far as possible, obstacles to the products and services that we offer and increasing the accessibility of information over the internet inclusively for all those that visit us.
To attain this objective, SegurCaixa Adeslas has based itself on the recommendations marked by the WCAG 2.1 accessibility standard (Accessibility Guidelines for Web Content), created by the international World Wide Consortium (W3C).
In this regard, SegurCaixa Adeslas applies the AA level accessibility guidelines, always taking into account the ongoing improvement of our digital assets.
Measures taken
To make the browsing of our web page accessible we have implemented a series of functionalities that make the information available through more than one sensorial channel, taking into account:
- Compatibility with assistance technologies: i.e., screen readers, keyboard browsers and other assistance devices.
- The accessibility of multimedia content: including subtitles and multimedia content descriptions, such as videos and audios.
- Content structure: we have ordered the heading hierarchy and the form structure.
- Colour contrast: adapting the text and background contrast to guarantee legibility for users with visual disabilities or who are colour blind.
- The interactive items: adding the accessibility functions to the interactive controls, buttons, links and menus.
These are measures that we wish to avoid:
- Browsing problems: for example, links that are not accessible via the keyboard or interactive items that do not provide sufficient feedback since they are used by people that depend on screen readers.
- Semantic and structure errors: badly structured headings that affect the ability of assistance technology users to browse the site correctly.
- Non-textual content: all images, graphs and other non-textual items have alternative descriptions for people that cannot see the visual content.
- Usability problems: those design items that may be technically compliant, but which represent usability barriers for disabled people.
Furthermore, on our website we provide:
- A video interpreting service provided through the Svisual solution.
- An accessibility solution implemented on our website: Equalweb
Considerations:
The information contained in the portal has been created progressively for over 10 years. SegurCaixa Adeslas is continuing to work actively each day to obtain a consistent level of accessibility and to maintain a high volume of accessible pages created over time. Hence, our intention is to apply the improvements as the natural content update process evolves.
