How to monitor the status of my authorisation?
Frequently asked questions authorisations
Do you have any doubts about how to manage your authorisation?
Here you can resolve the most frequently asked questions:
You can access your Customer Area here to request an authorisation. We recommend that you make an appointment in advance and you know the centre at which you are going to undergo the test, rehabilitation or admission in question.
Furthermore, have prepared the documentation that we will ask you to attach, such as your medical prescription, referral note or medical report.
To request an authorisation, it is necessary to attach the medical prescription or referral note requesting the medical test, analysis or operation. Furthermore, to authorise many procedures, it will be necessary to provide the medical report, hence we recommend that you attach it whenever you have it.
You can consult the status of your authorisation at any time from your Customer Area. When it has been approved you can download it, or if we require additional information, you can attach it.
Once we have managed your authorisation, you will receive an email at the address that you indicated when you made the request. If your authorisation has been approved you can download it from your Customer Area to present it on the day of the appointment.
You must indicate an approximate date, taking into account the expiry date of the authorisation that you are requesting, which will be 90 calendar days from the date indicated in the request. In the event of admissions and outpatient or hospital surgery, the admission date must be exact. Hence, we recommend that, before making the request, and in any case, you contact the medical centre to have an exact date before requesting the authorisation.
We inform you that first you must confirm that such centre is included on Adeslas’s Healthcare Provider List in relation to the specialism requested by you. If it is, you can make a new request from your Customer Area.
For medical tests, blood tests, rehabilitation, psychotherapy, etc., the validity term of an authorisation is 90 days from the authorisation request. If the change of date does not affect this period it will not be necessary to amend the authorisation date. If this period is exceeded or you require an authorisation for hospital admission, you must request a new authorisation.
You can contact our Customer Services department on 900 50 50 40 (24 hours a day). Remember to have your Adeslas card at hand when you call.
